LogiCore Corporation is hiring an experienced Proposal Coordinator/Tech Writer. This position will support LogiCore’s proposal efforts. This position will be in our Huntsville, AL office.

The Proposal Coordinator/Technical Writer supports the proposal process, including control and supervision of all aspects of the proposal production effort. The Proposal Coordinator is assigned to tasks as requirements dictate.

Technical Writing:

  • Draft or edit proposal content when provided with SME input
  • Obtain input for and update resumes required for key personnel submissions
  • Edit materials to ensure suitable language, format, and grammar
  • Assist in preparing meaningful text and graphics
  • Enforce editorial policies and guidelines specified for the proposal
  • Draft responses to proposal data calls
  • Collect and maintain proposal content and provide improvement recommendations for boilerplate information
  • Write past performance corporate experience, and management sections of proposals.
  • Support the development of responses for RFIs.

 

Proposal Coordination:

  • Develop proposal outlines and templates based on government RFPs.
  • Assemble staffing tables and summaries.
  • Proofread and edit proposals for grammar, consistency and overall message and theme.
  • Participate in proposal planning meetings.
  • Format Key and Non Key Personnel resumes according to RFP instructions.
  • Develop compliance matrices and assist with compliance reviews.
  • Support the development/ tailoring of graphics, covers, and cover letters.
  • Assist with proposal dissection and maintenance of proposal and graphics libraries.
  • Assist with inserting and tailoring boilerplate in technical, management, and staffing sections.
  • Participate in proposal production activities.
  • Support capture and proposal activities for assigned efforts
  • Provide regular status reports on proposal activities, including status updates on production matters
  • Identify and help resolve major writing and production problems early
  • Coordinate and track data call responses
  • Create and update templates
  • Coordinate production services (word processing, graphics, editing, proofreading, reproduction, collation, binding, and delivery) in support of the proposal
  • Assist in proposal compliance audits
  • Coordinate proposal reviews and other meetings as requested
  • Evaluate operations processes and procedures and identify improvements
  • Assist in the maintenance of the lessons learned and best practices library
  • Support Business Development processes, including preparing RFP outlines, proposal development plans, and managing color reviews
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Work Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • B.A or B.S in English, Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or related field
  • Possess strong analytical and research skills
  • Demonstrate the ability to work effectively across diverse, cross-functional team of growth, operations and corporate staff and assigned technical experts
  • Must be able to write clearly and informatively; edit work for spelling and grammar.
  • Must have excellent organization skills
  • Must be able to handle confidential information with discretion
  • Demonstrates the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced, demanding work environment
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint);
  • Proficiency in design tools desired, but not required (ADOBE Products such as PHOTOSHOP, INDESIGN,
  • Exceptional proofreading and formatting skills
  • Formal proposal management and project management training and education highly desirable
  • Comfortable managing and running meetings
  • Advanced grammar and editing skills
  • Desire to advance to into proposal management
  • Must have experience working on large, complex government proposal documents
  • Must have excellent time-management and organizational skills
  • Ability to read and interpret government solicitations
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions in one on one and small group situations.
  • Three to Five (3-5) years related experience, or a combination of education and experience commensurate to meeting the position requirements
  • May require a flexible work schedule
